![]() ![]() The raider, having NO IDEA this player just relayed information PLUS coordinated multiple key settings will now see a player seemingly "running out the in the open" and give chase unaware of the coordinated play by voice chat and IF they catch them they'll notice 3-4 sector letters light up gold all at once and realize far too late that they have been outplayed by something ENTIRELY OUT OF THEIR CONTROL. This kind of vocal communication leaves no room for doubt or fear as your other party members can easily tell you to plant the key and know you'll be safe since they know the raider is on the other side of the map.įor example: With voice chat, the raider could be on their way to section D and the player in section D would then tell everyone else: I'll distract the raider, plant your keys now! There's a VERY BIG DIFFERENCE between the information you can obtain via sigal markers and image macros vs a player giving EXACT POSITIONS AND PLAY-BY-PLAY of what the raider is doing AT THIS EXACT SECOND IN TIME during the match. Originally posted by Bill:this is the worst complaint i've ever heard why would you want to disable communication during the communication based game? Only the most dedicated of tryhards would bother with the extra setup which would reduce voice chat parties by a significant amount. Guess I'm gimped guys."ĭude 5: My headset can't plug into my phone, I can talk to you guys but can't hear you unless i take off the headset." "Dude 1: "Okay everyone, log onto your phones and plug in your headsets so we can talk."ĭude 2: "How we gonna hear the game at the same time? Sound is an important part of telling if the raider is close ya know."ĭude 4: "I have kids sleeping, can't. True but its an extra hassle players would have to put up with for a single game, can you imagine the annoyance? XD What you're asking is completely unfeasible outside of giving a video game of all things big brother access to your phone xD phones exist, you know? Nothing's stopping people from just pulling up their communication platform of choice on their phone and starting a call that way. Originally posted by JoBro:So ignoring the percentages you pulled out of thin air. You wanna risk getting blasted by the Raider while giving that vital info pal? BE MY GUEST! On top of that, it puts them in a compromising position. Why the black screen, you ask? simple: even if you lock their controls, they'd be able to see the world around them and give that vital information, blocking their screen till they turn off the mic at the very least prevents them from giving play-by-play information as voice chat groups often do. In closing, I think they should implement a voice chat blocking system in this game, basically, if the game detects an active microphone, it won't let you start a match until you shut it off and if turned on mid-match locks your controls+pops up a black screen(sound disabled) with text reading: "Please turn off your microphone, Thank you." Even with all those odds in your favor, your chances of winning are STILL a mere 40% cuz by the time end game rolls around that coordinated team is gonna be all power level 3s and you'll be lucky to be stage 3 by this point. ![]() Now I will say this, its not IMPOSSIBLE to win against a discord group in this game but it requires you to get seriously lucky by getting your stage 2 as early as possible and hopefully a survivor or two(preferably holding a dragonball) to snowball effect the rest of the team. Giving them open communication with one another is a whole other level of information giving as stated above. The tools provided in game via image macros and marking objects are useful enough to give the survivors enough communication to have a fair chance. Yes, its is possible a bunch of randoms could pull similar results but the odds of that are so unlikely I think Freeza appearing before me irl and demanding a dragonball is more likely. Ya know those games where the survivor team gets all the power keys slotted in under like 3mins or gathers all the dragon balls in similar time? I'll bet ya my steam account its a coordinated team on voice chat of 5 or more. ![]() The odds of a raider winning a match drop by a staggering 70% if 4 or more are in voice chat together and by practically 100% if all of them are.Īnd no, DO NOT give me the BS line of "if you gud enough-"no just freaking no, no amount of skill is going to make up for a team of 4-7 players coordinating with each other giving vital information to each other on the fly. If there's one thing that's more OP than ANYTHING IN ANY GAME OF THIS GENRE its the power of a coordinated team on voice chat. ![]()
